Damage Fee Scam
Charged $63 damage fee for getting into the car damp fro a quick 20 second dash from the hotel to the car in the rain. Lyft refused to cancel the charge and accepted what the driver said. This has ruined my holiday! I will never use Lyft again. Avoid at all costs!!!

9 minute estimate 45 min arrival!
Paid for priority pickup at airport - estimate 9 minutes 45 minutes later the driver finally showed up! No way to file a complaint - about the company not the driver. The map showed he was 15-20 miles away at the beginning - so 9 minutes not ever a possibility. Used to like LYFT, not now onto a local ride service. Very unreliable!

Extra fee I was charged extra because I got out…
I was charged extra because I got out of the car and ended the ride across the street from my destination. Their reasoning, I changed the destination. I am not liking this new kind of deceitful business practices created by IA. It took forever to even get to the point of being able to write a charge complaint on the APP. The customer service is nonexistent. How far we have fallen from good business practices. I don't own a car as of yet. I will ride the bus where there is a real person, customer service, and most importantly human connection. I deleted the APP.

Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service. Was told I was given a five dollar credit. Then I went to pay for my ride and was charged full price. I was told " Oh actually we changed our mind.. have a good day!". Ridiculous way to treat people.

Worst company ever DO NOT USE THEM
Worst company ever. Driver was rude, wouldn’t lift a finger to help with the luggage. In spite of that we still offered a tip and he refused saying I wouldn’t except a gratuity from you. Meaning we were beneath him. Will NEVER USE LYFT AGAIN. Will use any company other than them. It’s no wonder they are poorly rated. The won’t last. I’d rather walk than use them. You should think twice before using this company. They let anyone drive for them. What a nasty SOB this driver was.

James XUR443 my lift driver was…
James XUR443 my lift driver was supposed to pick me up for work at 5:50am. 5:50. The app tells me he's pulling up at 5:30am I'm watching him stop the car on the app saying it said he would be on time then he persist to come 20 minutes early!!! 20 minutes early!!! Now I get to sit outside at work for at least 20 minutes so James he literally said he had to come early because he had rides after mine. I scheduled this the night before!! Customer service is junk. Showing up early to pick someone up is like having your cash register over at the end of your shift meaning you messed someone over to get what you got. Garbage!!! BTW I work in Atlanta. I'll be sitting outside in the dark. I'll never utilize lyft ever again. Ever. I just reviewed on yelp and will not stop 1 starting this dude. Selfish!!

I am a driver- Poor Lyft Customer Service for drivers
I am a driver. I have been trying to resolve an issue since last Monday. No on responds. At least with Uber they have live people to resolve the issue immediately. I was shorted $11.9[ on a scheduled ride. I sent a message. The next morning I had a scheduled ride. I arrive about 3 minutes ahead of schedule. The unit number was wrong. When I attempted to call the customer, the lyft said I was in an active drive and would not complete the call. Today I had a scheduled ride. It said log on at 3.45. I logged on at 3.43p. The ride existed at 2.30p but was not there when I logged on? WHY NOT. Hopefully I can get this resolved today. I don't have time to chase the money I've earned. This is a joke. If I cant resolve my issue in a timely manner, I will have to delete the Lyft app and do more driving with Ube which has 70% of the markets hare anyway! I don't have these priblems with Uber.

"Shrug of the shoulder"
San Antonio Texas. 7-26-2023. 7:34 P.M. As I walked from the back of my friends house through the backyard into the driveway. I look on my phone to see the driver has arrived. I see no car anywhere. Then I spot a car that isn't not the same make or model shown on my phone. Wasn't even an S.u.v. and he is parked two houses down across the street. I only walked his way to see if he looked like the guy in the pic and he did. So, I get in the car. I asked why is he driving a car that looks nothing like the white Nissan SUV profiled in his profile "Shrugs"his shoulders and says he got a rental. And then to try and change the subject and make me feel a certain way, "He ask me why I was walking from around the block ? " As if to imply I was doing something shady. I told him changing the subject doesn't change the fact that I had to find him and seek him out. You would think he would have been parties right in front of the house because he has a totally different car that what is showing in his profile. Pompous, A-Hole !

If you leave your phone on a Lyft
If you leave your phone on a Lyft, you’ll never find it Because they make it impossible to log in unless you have a phone and customer service won’t call or email you back for days until your phone is completely go-me. USE UBER. Uber has a return phone service and better customer service

I'm a disabled veteran My apt building was going through extensive renovations and I had to relocate to a nearby hotel. Five days prior to my relocation, I created a Lyft account, downloaded the app, verified my cell phone and submitted my billing information. Everything seemed fine. The day of my relocation. I tried to schedule a pick up time and I was told I needed to submit a secondary bank card. What an a**** move. I was not informed of this not until the last minute and had to scramble for alternative transportation. Customer service has been completely useless Their approach is "RTFM" They just copy & paste instructions instead of being hands on and correcting the problem while accessing my account.

Dear Lyft Support. Am so depressed right now, I was unjustly accused and with that my account got deactivated. I wish some one could get back to me and listen to my side of the story. I picked up that passenger from her house and i dropped her to her destination. She refused to get out of the car saying that that was not the location she had put in. I immediately reported this to lyft and i that caos trying to ask the customer to get of my car because she had refused to get out. I recieved a request from another customer and i accidently accepted it. I immediately called the lady and explained the situation to her but she was not happy i asked her that i may need to cancel her ride so that i can deal with this first and she said no she needed to go somewhere immediatley. I didnt pick her with another customer in but i called her and explained the situation and asked her if she could kindly request for another ride. It took me like 25 minutes to sort the situation and i contacted lyft. Please help me i dont want to deactivate my account i love working for lyft.

They randomly out of the blue deactivated my account. This was there explanation. We found your account to be violating our Terms of Service and you will no longer be able to use the Lyft platform. I can honestly I have not violated anything so clearly there is something wrong with there information but the worst thing is they dont even tell you what the problem is. Oh well guess take my business to uber instead.

Please report it as soon as possible to lyft. That's the only way they will know that a problem like this happen. The way I look it, your passenger has acted fraudulently... setting a wrong destination so that she can complain for refund. And of course lyft will refund coz they will rely on the route set by your passenger.

Do drivers get a signing bonus? If so how does it work?

Lft runs different promotions and depending on promotion they promise a signup bonus(500-1100$). Now if they really pay the bonus it's totally up to their discretion.in my case they didn't pay. I completed the 60 Rides required in the first 30 days, which was the requirment to qualify for the bonus but they still didn't pay. After a brief email exchange with a lyft employee(they do not give their position or full name) they stopped answering. Now I am filing a complain with BBB and I will let you know where it goes when I have updates.

I hope you haven't started doing this. Reading the reviews I can tell both Uber or Lyft are shanty style of business. It was very surprising that new generations with ultra modern technologies has no concept of human factors in their business model. The drivers are simply robots to generate revenues to them. I drove Uber for two months and couldn't take their lies and manipulation. Please don't waste time whether it is Lyft or Uber. You won't even make one tenth of the minimum wage while taking all the insult and humiliation.
